Hope all of you are enjoying this warmer weather!
Great things continue to happen for the Mission Tri-State ministry. One of the highlights of our calendar right now is our Destineer groups. We hold one for our community leaders and one for business leaders. Right now we’re currently reviewing the book The Serving Leader. This is a great opportunity for these faith leaders to really evaluate and improve their serving leadership style. That would reflect the heart of Jesus Christ in the marketplace.
Our Community Leaders Breakfast events have continued to grow in popularity. We’re finding more and more people are inviting others because they find these are encouraging and uplifting events. As you know these take place the first Friday of each month at 8:30 AM. Our next Community Leaders Breakfast will be held this Friday, March 1, at Central United Methodist Church. We have Pastor Chuck Lawrence giving a devotional and Toney Stroud giving us an update about the amazing things happening at Marshall University.
We're still having our weekly prayer meetings at Heritage Farm's Chapel at 8 a.m. (except for the first Friday each month when the Mission Tri-State Community Leaders Breakfast is held). Each time we meet the Holy Spirit impresses upon us what we need to pray for. We’re going to start posting those insights on our website under the section titled Read recent prophetic word we received for Appalachia.
If you have a heart to pray for our community and for the Appalachian region you may want to take a look at these gatherings. It’s amazing how every time we meet God gives us a new assignment.
As you know, John Wesley said “God will do nothing on earth except in answer to believing prayer.” So it’s evident that God is having us pray for the things that he wants to take place in our community and this region. If this is something that’s on your heart then you’re welcome to join us on the Friday mornings we gather at 8:00 AM at Heritage Farm's Chapel.
If you're planning to join us at Friday morning's Community Leaders Breakfast and haven't RSVP'd yet please let me know if you'll be attending with a guest.
In Christ's Service,
Mike Greider
