I hope that you're enjoying this beautiful springtime weather.

It has been a while since I have sent out a Mission Tri-State newsletter. However, I have felt convicted of late that I need to renew this practice so that all of you can be updated on the great things that are happening through this ministry.

The biggest news is the final delivery of my book, God's Dream: Transformation through Kingdom Advancement. As most of you know, this has been over 20 years in the making. The book tells the inspiring story of what God has done in this community because of the ongoing work of faithful united prayer and obedience to God's direction in new Kingdom initiatives.

We hope that you'll be able to receive your own copy so that you can be encouraged and inspired by the story of what God has done in Huntington over these last many years. We have been deeply honored to receive many amazing endorsements from major players in this arena, the most important of which has been by George Otis Jr., who is considered one of the leading experts on community transformation.

George Otis Jr. has informed me that he is planning to bring his newest video to Huntington this fall. We'll be hosting this premiere at Christ Temple. As soon as I receive a date, I'll let all of you know so you can reserve that spot on your calendar. George also informed me that he was so moved by my book that he will be promoting it everywhere he goes.

Chuck Lawrence, pastor of Christ Temple Church, has also informed me that he is going to give a public endorsement to my book at Christ Temple services when he returns from his current trips. It will also be made available in the Christ Temple bookstore.

On a different note, we recently held our Spring Retreat at Heritage Farm. As many of you know, these retreats are a critical part of this ministry because we take one whole day to focus on discerning what God might be speaking to us about the focus and direction of this ministry for the next six months. God has never failed to show up and make His will evident to all that attend. I'll be sending out a summary of the retreat in the next newsletter.

We are continuing to meet regularly with our community leaders, most of which meet us in their offices or boardrooms. God continues to answer our prayers with amazing creativity and faithfulness.

As we end this newsletter, I'd like to simply give a quick report of one of those dramatic answered prayers. For some time we have been praying that God will send us someone in the educational arena that would help us with the Hope Nation curriculum as well as with some of our initiatives with the school system. Some of you may have met Dr. Fred Franzen, who recently purchased Huntington Junior College and has transformed it into Ameritas College. He is not only partnering with Hope Nation to help us build our curriculum for our clients but also partnering with Arise America. In fact, he has given us an office for both Arise America and Hope Nation at the college.
